This certification is to improve the security of the international supply chain as well as to enhance trade by ensuring that the customs management systems and controls are enhanced with the enrolled companies. Some of the advantages that come with AEO T1 certified entities include; faster release of goods from the customs, preferential treatment during examinations and reduced bank guarantees by 50% as compared to other firms that are not certified.
Also, they are likely to be audited less after the clearance and in case of any dispute, they are provided with fast track remedies. This basic certification helps the businesses to enhance their organizational effectiveness and their integrity in the international trade.
